Meet Our Horses

Horses have the most amazing ability to heal a broken heart, drown out the busyness of the day and make the soul feel young again. Each one of our lesson horses (and ponies) have their own personality, skills, gifts, talents and unique love to share with us all. We hope you get to meet them all and enjoy them as much as we do.

meet scout

Scout is a 14.1 hand American Paint Horse cross gelding. His sweet, calm personality wins over everyone who rides him. He is patient and steady with beginners and loves when his students are ready for jump lessons. He was a trail horse when I purchased him, but he quickly became a jack of all trades. He was my first personal horse, so he will always hold a very special place in my heart.

MEET izzy

Izzy is a 13.1 hand Haflinger mare. By far, her favorite thing in the world is food, but she loves her students too. Izzy is wonderful for my beginner walk/trot riders as well as those working on cantering and jumping. She has a laidback canter that is perfect for those exciting first canter lessons!

Meet LEvi

At just 41ā€ at the wither, Levi is the smallest addition to the lesson herd. He did not have extensive riding experience when I purchased him, but he has continued to impress us with his ability to quickly learn new skills. This little man has also earned the bragging rights of being the bravest horse on the property.

Meet Monty

Were we shopping for a senior horse? No. Did Monty easily melt our hearts? Yes.

This precious guy is a registered Quarter Horse named Mega Moves, and he has been busy showing us all that he knows. Monty is helping teach our YEDA show team how to ride such a soft, willing horse.

Meet Storm

Storm is a 16.1 hand Thoroughbred mare. This lanky girl will win you over with her sweet eyes and willing temperament. She is so easygoing and is always up to try new things and go new places. She loves to jump and does it so effortlessly, and she is also improving her western riding skills!

Meet Clark

I was not looking to add a horse to the herd when Kaitlyn introduced me to Clark, but how could I pass up the opportunity to bring home this gorgeous guy? He is a 17.1 hand Thoroughbred gelding with a puppy dog personality. He is eager to please, and we are excited to help him develop into a talented hunter horse.

This next section is dedicated to the horses we have loved to the end. The hardest part of horse ownership is losing these sweet animals who are loved by so many.

Xman

X-man came to us with such a neat background. When he was owned by the Ohio Sate Equestrian team, he taught college students & went to shows with them. Then, he was a summer camp horse and made so many children happy. He then began his next stage of life with us. He was the sweetest old man who gave confidence to timid riders and plodded around carrying the littlest ones.

Butch

Butch was a 15.2 hand Quarter Horse gelding. Butch spent many years on the trail taking his family on all kinds of adventures and building his reputation as a trustworthy mount for all. He was the first horse I began to instruct lessons with at CCF, so he laid the foundation for several of my current riders.

Ace

Ace was generously given to me after I fell in love with him while teaching lessons for a sweet family. He traveled the country and saw it all. Ace loved to show everyone all that he learned from his previous owner, an incredibly talented horsewoman who put so much time, effort, and care into making him the horse he was. Iā€™m so glad we got the blessing of loving him too.
